These cars are so low and the OEM brake lights are so small, most drivers have a hard time seeing them when the brake lights come on. Not anymore!
This kit adds a super bright LED 3rd brake light to your car without noticeably changing the appearance of your car. These kits utilized a custom replica Lucas housing with two rearward windows for the 3rd brake light function. The kit uses a glass lens for superior clarity and durability. In addition to the 3rd brake light, this kit also adds a super bring LED reverse light, and converts the license light function to LED as well.
We offer two versions:
The "FFR Roadster" kit (MKIII, MKIV, and MKV).
The "Cobra Replica" kit (Early FFR cars, Backdraft, Shell Valley, Hurricane, ERA, others) that use the Lucas L467 lamp assembly.
How It Works
The "FFR Roadster" 3rd Brake Light Kit retains your original mounting base with integral license plate bracket . With a few minor modifications, your install our retrofit electronics, the new GLASS lens, and custom chrome bezel.
The customer will need to source and install +12V brake light and reverse gear feed wires into the trunk area where your existing license light wiring enters the trunk.
